Shooting has started this week on “Welcome to the Family”, a black comedy starring, among others, Melani Olivares and Yolanda Ramos. The new series, produced by TV3 and executive produced by Pau Freixas, will be broadcast next year on TV3.
“Welcome to the Family” tells the story of Angela, a courageous single mom with three kids, struggling to keep her family's head above water. When some unexpected financial problems put the family house on the line, Angela find herself forced to face her greatest fear: her father, who she hasn't spoken to for more than twenty years. This is the starting point of “Welcome to the Family”, a comedy for all ages, characterised by its marked black humour.
“Welcome to the Family” is produced by Arca Audiovisual (Filmax Group), executive produced and directed by Pau Freixas and written by Ivan Mercadé. The new series comprises 13 episodes of 50 minutes each and will be arriving on viewer's TV screens in 2018.
Starring alongside Melani Olivares (Angela) and Yolanda Ramos (Victoria) in the series are the actors Ivan Massagué (Nando), Nao Albet (Fran), Simón Andreu (Eduardo), Nonna Cardoner (Sara), Leiti Sené (David), Georgina Amorós (Alex), Miquel Fernández (Miquel), Betsy Túrnez (Adela), Francesc Ferrer (Pere), Eva Santolària (Lili), Àlex Maruny (Dídac) and Aina Clotet (Lola).
