Synopsis

When Kilian Jornet, the greatest mountain runner of all time, was a child, he wrote a list of all the races he wanted to win, and all the mountains he dreamt of climbing.

In May 2017 he crossed the last peak off that list, by completing a historic double ascent of Everest, solo, without supplementary oxygen, as a single climb each time. It was the culmination of his Summits of My Life project, which took him to spectacular peaks all around the world over a five-year period, accompanied by a select team of climbers.

‘Path to Everest’ retraces the journey that led Kilian Jornet to the world’s highest peak, in an intimate portrait that reveals his fears, his contradictions, and his desire to keep finding new challenges that will allow him to follow his dreams, surrounded by mountains and the people who are his inspiration.
